Meet The Team
Scott Havens MD
Executive Director
Dr. Havens passion for treating addiction began with his work as an emergency physician. For over 20 years he encountered polysubstance use, toxicology, and withdrawal management. Wanting to become a part of the solution, he assisted in one of the largest addiction medicine clinics in the U.S. He currently is a medical director for multiple facilities in Arizona and provides personalized treatment at his private practice.
At NextStep, his role is to oversee all clinical and administrative functions in addition to providing patient care.
Dr. Havens obtained his medical degree at St. George’s University, School of Medicine in 2001. He completed his residency at HonorHealth Scottsdale Osborn Medical Center in 2004. He resides in Scottsdale, Arizona with his furry friend, who was named after the ASU mascot, Sparky. He likes to spend his free time at the beach and enjoys boating, marine biology, and sports medicine volunteering for collegiate athletics.
Natalie DiPardo
Practice Manager
Natalie was born and raised in Scottsdale, Arizona where she received her Bachelor's degree in Biology at Arizona State University in 2020. She plans on continuing her education to obtain her Physician Assistant Master's degree.
After working in the emergency room alongside Dr. Havens, she took her love for integrative medicine a step further and joined the team at NextStep Recovery. At NextStep, Natalie oversees the medical practice with the goal of enhancing patient care.
Referrals
We collaborate with a comprehensive outpatient treatment program, behavioral health counselors, and inpatient hospital. .
